we built elevate teams because we hit the same wall you're hitting
Seven years into building their own insurance agency, our founders hit that moment. Long hours were the norm. Leadership time was consumed by certificates, cancellations, inbox management, ID cards, billing follow-ups, and administrative overflow. The agency was growing. But the model was not scalable.
Instead of accepting burnout as the cost of success, they searched for a better way.

how elevate teams rethinks the way agencies scale
Co-founder and former agency owner Dominic Piccirillo on hitting that wall, and breaking through it.
What was not working?
Outsourcing felt transactional. We needed people who showed up like owners.
The shift
In 2016, Dom hired his first remote worker from Latin America.
The difference wasn't just cost. It was commitment, communication, and timezone alignment that actually worked.

The transformation
Those embedded team members became the backbone of Dom's agency.
Not vendors. Not temps.
Trusted extensions of the agency.

The outcome
Fewer 70-80 hour weeks. More strategic leadership. And in 2022, a successful exit - made possible by the team he'd built.
That exit became the blueprint for Elevate Teams.

One agency proved it. Now hundreds are living it.
We realized our problem wasn’t unique. Insurance agencies hit a hiring and operational ceiling long before revenue or demand slows.
So we took what worked inside one agency and built it into a model others could use.
We built a network of bilingual, P&C-trained virtual assistants across Latin America - people who show up like team members, not vendors, and who understand the work from day one. The result: agency owners getting their time back. Licensed agents focused on revenue instead of service queues. Teams that scale without the overhead of local hiring.

And yes, we did bring a real giraffe to a conference.
At FAIA 2025, we brought Ellie, our 16-foot mascot and the tallest attendee on the conference floor, to start a conversation about seeing the insurance industry from a higher perspective.
Ellie was with us for just a couple of hours, accompanied by her handler, well-fed, and completely unbothered by the insurance talk. She's since returned to her farm in Florida, where she is living her absolute best giraffe life. 🦒
