At Elevate Teams, we specialize in recruiting the top 1% of virtual assistant talent from across Latin America—professionals who are not only bilingual but bring a high level of communication skills, technical ability, and cultural alignment to the table. When it comes to staffing remote roles in the insurance industry, we know that quality isn’t just a priority—it’s the foundation. That’s why our recruitment process is built to be rigorous, intentional, and results-driven.

a high-volume funnel, intentionally narrowed

Each month, we receive over 6,000 applications from candidates across Latin America. We use a custom-built screening process to automatically disqualify candidates who don’t meet our minimum standards for English proficiency, tech readiness, or professional background. This early filter eliminates around 3,000 applicants right off the bat.

From there, only a small percentage—about 400 candidates—are invited to begin our interview process. These interviews are designed to test more than just hard skills. We assess attitude, adaptability, problem-solving, and communication style. Out of those 400, typically only 60 candidates pass the interview phase.

but we don’t stop there

Those 60 are then evaluated further and narrowed down to 40 individuals who are invited to join our insurance-specific training program. This isn’t a generic onboarding session—it’s a deep dive into the tools, workflows, and client service expectations unique to U.S.-based insurance agencies.

Once candidates complete training, we select the best of the best—about 20 graduates per month—to join our talent bench. These are the virtual assistants who are ready to deliver real value on day one: technically sharp, professionally polished, and already familiar with the language and rhythm of the insurance world.

By the time you meet a VA we recommend, they’ve already undergone an extensive, multi-layered process that ensures they’re not only capable but also committed. This high bar is what allows us to consistently match agencies with remote professionals who actually stick, perform, and elevate operations, not just fill a seat.
